To publish a submission form, click Save new version in Form Builder, then change the project's Visibility from Draft to Private or Public in Project Settings → General. Private makes the form accessible only to creators with the direct link; Public makes it discoverable and open to anyone. Publishing a Public form requires a paid plan.
Plan requirement
Publishing a form to Public visibility requires a paid Dapple plan. To upgrade, click your organisation name in the top-left, select Upgrade, and follow the prompts. Draft projects work on any plan — Pricing details: see the Dapple Pricing Page. After upgrading to a paid plan, this may take a short period of time before your links unlock - please be patient.
The three visibility states
State | Who can see it | When to use |
Draft | Only your team | Building or testing the form before opening to creators |
Private | Anyone with the direct link, not discoverable | Invite-only opportunities, fee waivers, or solicited applications |
Public | Anyone, discoverable | Open calls, awards, and anything you actively promote (paid plan) |
Step 1: Save the latest version of your form
Open the project → Form Builder.
Confirm your changes are saved by clicking Save new version in the top-right.
Step 2: Change Visibility
Open Project Settings → General.
Scroll to the Visibility section.
Change from Draft to Private or Public.
Save.
The change takes effect immediately. A Public project's public URL is live the moment you save.
Step 3: Confirm Availability is set correctly
Visibility (who can see the form) and Availability (when the form accepts entries) are separate settings. Double-check Availability before sharing:
Anytime — the form is open whenever the project is Public or Private.
Closed — the form rejects new submissions, even if the project is Public.
Between Dates — the form auto-opens and auto-closes on your set dates.

Step 4: Share your form
Once Public or Private, use the Share tab to grab your public link. For a single URL covering every active opportunity, use a Page that lists all your live projects. Full guide: How to Add a Submission Form to a Website
Where to share your form
On your organisation's website — as a button or hyperlink.
In email campaigns.
On social media posts.
On listings sites.
On printed materials — via a QR code is an optimal solution.
