Setting up payment capabilities for your Projects is essential for accepting submission fees or entry fees. Whether you have an existing Stripe account or need to set up a new one, you should do this all through your Dapple account, following the steps below so that everything is correctly synced. Once completed you will then be able to add payment fields to your submission forms.

Connecting a Stripe Account
Dapple uses Stripe for all payments. Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform that enables businesses to accept payments online and in person, offering a suite of tools for managing payments, billing, and other financial operations. To enable payments for submissions within your projects, you'll need to connect a Stripe account:
Navigate to Organisation Settings by clicking on you org name in the top left hand corner of your account
Once in the settings, select the Payments tab
Click the Set up Stripe account button
Follow the on-screen instructions to either:
Create a new Stripe account
Connect an existing Stripe account
During this process, Stripe will ask for verification information to comply with financial regulations and ensure secure transactions.
Once you have connected a Stripe account, you can then add payment fields to your projects.
Payment Country
The country you have set in your general settings must match the country where you Stripe account is registered. If these are misaligned, then you will receive an error when setting up the account.
Payment Currency
Select the desired currency that you wish to take all payments in.
If you need to disconnect your Stripe account at any point, you can do this at the bottom of the page - be aware that this will mean you will no longer be able to take payment and will have an effect on any live submission forms you have.
Demo Account
If using the Demo Account in Dapple you can add a Test Stripe account here too so you can test how payments works before setting live. You'll need to follow the instructions above in the same way but all the details do not need to be real. Stripe will prompt you to put in fake data and will have constant reminders that the account you set up will not be real.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with payment setup:
Ensure your Stripe account verification is complete
Check that your banking information is correctly entered
Verify your project payment settings are properly configured
Contact support if you continue experiencing problems
