How to Set Up Payments in Dapple

Payments may be a core part of the submissions process. Follow the steps below in order to set this up.

Dapple processes all payments through Stripe — submission fees, ticket sales, and any other charges you collect from creators. To start taking payments, connect a Stripe account in Settings → Payments. New Stripe users can create an account during the connection flow.

Why does Dapple use Stripe?

Stripe handles card processing, fraud protection, refunds, payouts, and the compliance overhead of accepting card payments online. Dapple never stores card details directly — every transaction goes through Stripe's secure checkout. This means your creators' card data is fully PCI-compliant without any extra work from you.

What you need before connecting Stripe

  • Your organisation's legal name and registered address.

  • A bank account in your organisation's name for payouts.

  • A representative's name and date of birth (Stripe's identity verification step).

  • Your tax ID or business registration number (varies by country).

How to connect Stripe

  1. Open Settings → Payments in your Dapple workspace.

  2. Click Connect with Stripe.

  3. Follow Stripe's onboarding flow — it takes about five minutes.

  4. Once verified, you'll be redirected back to Dapple and Payments will show as Connected.
