How to Message an Organisation About Your Submission

Here's some instructions on how to send messages to organisations you are submitting to

You can message an organisation about a specific submission from inside your Dapple dashboard, on the submission's Messages tab. Messaging is per-submission β€” there's no general inbox β€” and replies are only available if the organisation has enabled them for that submission.

How to send a message

  • Sign in at app.dapplehq.com.

  • Open the relevant submission from your dashboard.

  • Click the Messages tab inside the submission.

  • If the Reply button is active, type your message and send. If it's greyed out, the organisation hasn't enabled replies for this submission.

Where do their messages arrive?

When an organisation messages you, you'll get an email notification with a link that takes you straight to the message inside Dapple. You can also see a chronological history of every message for a submission on that submission's Messages tab. Use the filter to show only unread messages.

Why is the Reply button greyed out?

Organisations can choose whether to accept replies on a per-submission basis. If it's greyed out, they've chosen not to take replies through Dapple for that submission β€” usually because they're handling discussion elsewhere, or because the submission is at a review stage where feedback isn't expected. If you need to reach them, check the organisation's website or social media for a direct contact method.

Can I message across multiple submissions at once?

No. Messaging is scoped to a single submission so the organisation always has the context of which piece of work you're asking about. If you have submissions to several different organisations, each has its own message history on its own submission page.
