My Attachment Isn't Uploading β What to Do
If an attachment isn't uploading, the most common causes are an interrupted internet connection, an outdated browser, an ad-blocker or privacy extension blocking the upload, or a file that's over the 1 GB per-attachment limit. Work through the checks below in order β most upload problems are fixed by the first three.
1. Check your internet connection
Slow or unstable connections interrupt uploads, especially for large files. Refresh the page, switch to a stronger Wi-Fi network or a wired connection, and try uploading again once your connection is stable.
2. Update your browser
Outdated browsers sometimes fail on file uploads. Use the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. If you're already on the latest version, try a different browser to isolate whether the issue is browser-specific.
3. Disable extensions or try incognito
Ad blockers, privacy extensions, and some antivirus browser plugins can block file uploads. Open an incognito / private window (which disables most extensions by default) and try the upload there. If that works, disable your extensions one at a time on the main window to find the culprit.
4. Clear cache and cookies
Corrupt cached data can block uploads. Clear your browser's cache and cookies for dapplehq.com, reload the page, and try again.
5. Check file size
Dapple's per-attachment limit is 1 GB. If your file is larger, you'll need to reduce the file size β for video, re-export at a lower bitrate; for PDFs, use a compressor; for images, use JPEG instead of PNG. Split archives aren't supported.
6. Check file type
Common file types work β .pdf, .docx, .jpg, .png, .mp4, .mov, .mp3, .wav. If your file uses an unusual or industry-specific format, convert to a more common type before uploading.
7. Still stuck?
If you've tried everything above, contact Dapple support with: (a) the submission URL, (b) the file name and size, (c) the browser and OS you're using, and (d) a screenshot of any error message. That combination gives us enough to reproduce most issues quickly.
