Dapple includes a built-in Demo Mode, designed to act as a safe sandbox environment where you can explore, experiment, and test workflows without affecting any real submissions or data. Whether you're new to Dapple or setting up complex submission processes, Demo Mode gives you the freedom and confidence to test things thoroughly before going live.
Setting up Demo Mode
To set up Demo Mode
In the top left-hand corner, select the small three dots
See Demo Mode in the list of options
Select the Create button to create a new demo account. If you have created one already, select the Switch option to see a list of all those you have already created.
When creating a new demo account, you can add an Org Name and upload a logo as if creating a real account.
You can create as many different Demo Test accounts as you like and will be able to toggle between them easily in the list.
Using Demo Mode
Demo Mode mirrors a real account and works in the same way. You can test creating new projects, configuring stages, using automations, or exploring settings without worrying about disrupting real users or impacting live submissions. Demo Mode uses separate test data; nothing you do there will ever appear in your live dashboard or analytics. Your production workspace remains accurate, tidy, and uncluttered.
Payments - To test out payments, follow the same steps as if connecting to a live Stripe account. The demo account will automatically connect to a test Stripe account, and you will be prompted to fill in the Stripe setup as if creating a new account. Once Dapple is connected to the Stripe test account, you'll then be able to add payments to forms and test making payments using test card details.
Messages - Messaging is active in Demo Mode and so it's very important that you do not use real creator email addresses when testing. Any emails sent through the system will be marked with [DEMO] so that it's clear that this is being used for testing purposes.
