A review round in Dapple is the review configuration attached to a stage — its name, guidance, deadlines and scoring type. Duplicating a review round copies an existing round's settings into a new one using Copy from, an option inside the review setup wizard, so you don't have to rebuild a similar round by hand. It's useful whenever two rounds need the same criteria and messaging — a Round 1 Sift and a Round 2 Shortlist, for example, that both score submissions the same way. The copy carries across guidance, deadlines and scoring; you still assign the Review Group of reviewers yourself, in the wizard's Members step.
What does duplicating a review round copy in Dapple?
Copy from pulls an existing review round's settings into the round you're creating. It's a shortcut through steps 2 to 4 of the setup wizard — Guidance, Deadlines and Scoring — rather than a way to clone a round wholesale. The Review Group is deliberately excluded, because a copied round is usually meant for a different stage or a different set of reviewers.

When should you duplicate a review round?
Duplicating saves the most time when you're running several review rounds that share the same evaluation criteria but need their own stage, deadline or reviewer group. Typical cases:
Multi-round contests or awards, where Round 2 uses the same scoring rubric as Round 1 but moves to a different reviewer panel.
Programmes that run the identical review round across multiple categories or tracks (Fiction, Poetry, Non-Fiction) with different Review Groups per category.
Repeating an annual or recurring call where last cycle's guidance and rubric still apply.
If the new round needs different guidance or scoring as well, it's usually quicker to build it from scratch — Copy from only pays off when most of the settings are staying the same.
How do you duplicate a review round in Dapple?
Open the project and go to the Workflow & Reviews tab.
On the stage that needs the new round, click + Add review round to open the setup wizard.
On step 1 (Name & stage), choose the Stage and give the round a Review Name.
Click the small arrow beside Continue, then select Copy from.
In Find a review config…, search for and select the existing review round you want to copy — for example, First Round Review.
Continue through the wizard. Guidance, Deadlines and Scoring are pre-filled from the round you copied — review and adjust them if needed.
On the Members step, assign the Review Group for this round. This is not copied, so add reviewers even if they're the same people as the source round.
Complete the Notifications step and save the review round.
What doesn't carry over when you copy a review round?
Copy from only pulls in the review settings — it doesn't assign reviewers or place the round on a stage for you. After copying, you still need to:
Choose the Stage for the new round yourself (set in step 1 before you copy).
Give it a distinct Review Name — the copied round's name isn't reused automatically.
Add members to the Review Group in the Members step, even if you want the same reviewers as the source round.
