The Discuss tab on every submission is where your team leaves internal notes about a submission — feedback, decisions, follow-ups. Notes are visible to everyone on your team with access to the submission, but never visible to the creator. Tag teammates with @-mentions to notify them directly. The full discussion history stays attached to the submission.
Where do I find the Discuss tab?
Open any submission.
Click the Discuss tab.
Type your note in the input box.
Send.
How do I tag a teammate?
Type @ followed by the team member's name (e.g. @John Smith). They appear in a dropdown — select them to tag. Tagged users get a notification with a direct link to the note. If a teammate doesn't appear in the dropdown, see I'm Unable to Tag Another User for Discussion
Who can see Discuss notes?
Audience | Can see Discuss notes? |
Team members with access to the submission | Yes |
The creator who submitted the work | No — never |
Reviewers on a Review Panel | No — reviewers see only submission content and feedback fields |
External users without access to the project | No |
Why use the Discuss tab?
Collaborate — share feedback and observations without sending separate emails or DMs.
Notify the right people — @-mentioning is faster than chasing teammates through other channels.
Keep context — notes stay attached to the submission, so anyone reviewing later sees the discussion.
Track history — Discuss is your paper trail for review decisions and rationale.
Best practice
Tag deliberately — only @-mention people whose input you actually need.
Use Discuss for action items — 'Sarah, can you check the file?' is clearer than 'someone needs to look at the file'.
Don't put creator-facing information here. If it needs to go to the creator, use the Messages tab.
For decisions, summarise rationale in a final Discuss note before moving the submission to a new stage.
