Notifications in Dapple keep you up to date with everything relevant to your account — submissions assigned to you, @-mentions in Discuss, completed exports, team invites. They appear under the bell icon in the top-right corner, with a blue dot when there's something new. Click any notification to jump straight to the source.
Where do I find notifications?
The bell icon sits in the top-right corner of every page. A blue flashing dot appears when there's a new notification. Click the bell to open the notifications panel — all unread notifications appear at the top, with older read notifications below.
What triggers a notification?
Event | What you see |
A submission is assigned to you | 'Submission X has been assigned to you' — link to the submission |
You triggered an export | 'Your export is ready' — link to download the CSV |
You've been @-mentioned in a Discuss note | 'X tagged you in Y' — link to the note |
You've been invited to a new organisation | 'You've been invited to join X' — accept link |
You've been assigned to a new team | 'You've been added to X team' — link to the team |
How to clear notifications
Open the bell icon.
Click Read All to mark every notification as read.
Or click an individual notification to mark it read and jump to its source.
Notifications stay in your history once read, so you can scroll back through them. The blue dot only counts unread notifications.
Do notifications send email?
In-app notifications are the primary channel. Some events also trigger an email (submission assigned, organisation invite). Most don't — for example, Discuss @-mentions are in-app only right now, with email alerts on the roadmap.
Best practice
Click Read All at the end of each working session to reset your inbox.
Don't ignore the blue dot for long — assignments and @-mentions are often time-sensitive.
Use Saved Views and Filters to find work assigned to you, rather than relying on notifications alone.
