The Reviewers column in Dapple’s submissions list shows an icon for each reviewer assigned to a submission, alongside how many of their reviews are done. The column is controlled by the Assigned Reviewers toggle in Field Visibility. Turn it on and the column appears in your table; reviewers show up as soon as they are assigned to a submission. The setting is saved in your browser, so it only changes your own view.
How do I show reviewers in the submissions list?
Turn on Assigned Reviewers in Field Visibility.
Go to Submissions in the left-hand menu.
Click More in the top-right corner, then choose Field Visibility.
Switch Assigned Reviewers on. Its description reads “Show who is reviewing and whether they have finished”.
Close the Field Visibility window. The Reviewers column now appears in your table.
To hide the column again, switch Assigned Reviewers off. Reset in the same window returns every field to its default.
What does the Reviewers column show?
Each row shows the reviewers on that submission and the progress of each review.
What you see | What it means |
Round or group icons | A coloured circle with initials for each reviewer assigned to the submission, e.g. PG, LK, CD. |
Progress text | The review round and how many reviews are finished, e.g. “Second Round Review · 1 of 3 done”. |
Two lines in one row | The submission is in more than one review, e.g. a group review and an individual review. Each has its own count. |
“Not sent” | The submission hasn’t been sent to any reviewer or review round yet. |
Green tick or orange dot on an icon | A green tick means that reviewer has completed their review. An orange dot means the submission has been sent to them and their review is in progress. |
Reviewers only appear once they are assigned to the submission. Adding someone to a Review Group isn’t enough on its own — the submission has to be sent to the review round.
Why can’t I see reviewers in my submissions list?
Check these in order.
The toggle is off. Click More, choose Field Visibility and switch Assigned Reviewers on.
The submission hasn’t been sent for review. The column shows “Not sent” until it has. See How to Send Submissions for Review in Dapple.
You’re on a different browser or device. Field Visibility is saved in your browser, so you’ll need to switch it on again there.
You turned it on but a colleague can’t see it. Settings don’t carry across team members. Each person switches it on for themselves.
Does Field Visibility change what my team or reviewers see?
No. Field Visibility only changes how the submissions list looks to you. The settings are saved in your browser and don’t affect other team members. Reviewers can’t see your view either.
The same settings apply to the dashboard, the submissions list and the Stages pages. Switching Assigned Reviewers on shows reviewers on all three.
What else can I add to the submissions list?
Field Visibility controls more than reviewers. Each field is its own toggle.
Field | What it shows |
Current Review | The current review status |
Score | Review scores |
Owner | Who owns the submission |
Progress | Where the submission is in your workflow |
Tags | Tags on the submission |
Comment Count, Message Count, File Count | Totals for each on the submission |
Award, Next payment, Paid | Award amount, the next payment and its due date, and how much has been paid (off by default) |
Best practice for tracking reviewers
Switch on Assigned Reviewers and Current Review together to see who is reviewing and where each review stands.
Sort or scan the column during a review round to spot submissions with no one assigned.
Check the “done” count before moving submissions to the next stage.
Switch off fields you don’t use to keep the table readable on smaller screens.
Ask each team member to set up their own view. Nothing is shared by default.
